The physicians in the UAP Gastroenterology Department diagnose and treat digestive and intestinal diseases. They also diagnose and treat disorders of the liver, colon, gallbladder and pancreas. The UAP Gastroenterology physicians have expertise treating Crohn's disease, swallowing and esophageal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, hepatitis and colon cancer.

If you are over the age 50, the UAP Gastroenterologists recommend you have a screening colonoscopy.

If you have a family history of colon cancer, speak with your family physician to see if you need a colonoscopy sooner.
